Kopenhagen Laptop Orchestra (KLO) is the electroacoustic answer to a full-blown orchestra – with custom made controllers, synthesizers, effects and drum machines. Refined and controlled through a network of computers driving self-made software which facilitates interplay between the musicians Andreas Wetterberg, Rasmus Kjærbo, Tobias Lukassen, and Lasse Munk.
Each performance with KLO is exploring ways of utilising the computer as an instrument to perform improvised electronic music live. They manage to make room for myriads and collections of sonic gems, while generating a tasteful and patient repertoire ranging from avantgarde and concrete to the most hype and driving, yet experimental dance beats. Doing so with the intention of freedom to improvise with respect for each other; as rarely seen when multiple electronic musicians perform together.
